ELIGIBILITY:

A Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
from an accredited college- level institution (CA, CS
and ICWA degrees qualify).

person such as supervisor, manager, educator or a CIA.

24 months of internal auditing experience
or its equivalent. This can also be completed along
with the examinations.

EXEMPTION:
Chartered Accountants and Cost Accountants from India are
exempt from appearing in Part IV of the exam. However, exam
fees are payable.
STUDY AIDS
Apart from the institute, a host of other companies provide
material for studying for CIA.
The IIA has published a model exam, which will be updated
regularly, to reveal the current format of the CIA exam. It
has been designed to provide candidates with an understanding
of the types of questions that typically appear on the CIA
exam and offers expanded solutions. The model exam, along
with a variety of CIA exam study materials from third-party
publishers, is available for purchase through The IIA Bookstore
(www.theiia.org).
TIMING
The CIA exam is available through computer-based testing, allowing you to test year-round at
more than 500 locations worldwide. Through the The IIA's online Certification Candidate Management System
(CCMS), candidates may apply/register for certification programs/exams and access their records online.

In the present system, preparation for the exam is through

standardized approach on coaching classes will be held
in all chapters of IIA-India.
