The Calcutta chapter has around 400 members
and regularly conducts training programs, workshops for the
benefit of its members, internal auditing practitioners and
executive management. The Chapter also holds the CIA exam,
twice a year, which is the hallmark of global excellence in
internal auditing. The Chapter also publishes a quarterly
newsletter, "Auditage" for the interest of its members
which broadly covers articles and activities of the Chapter
and is distributed to all the other Chapters.

Internal Audit Awareness Programme in association with Eastern India Re-gional Council of The Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India held an evening lecture programs on some of the emerging Internal Auditing areas for the benefit of members on August 6, 2010.

Conference on INTERNAL AUDIT - A TOOL FOR CORPORATE
GOVERNANCE on
Saturday March 15, 2008 at Kolkata.
Workshop on “Fraud Detection & Prevention Techniques and Internal Audit Report Presentation to the Audit Committee” held on 31st May, 2007 at Kolkata , 25 persons enrolled for the Workshop. The Faculty included Mr. Santanu Ghosh, I P P , IIA – India, Mr.Nirupam Haldar,Past President of IIA Calcutta Chapter, Mr.Bhuban Basu, Past President of IIA Calcutta Chapter, Mr.Subir Dutta, Director, DCB Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Arijit Chakraborty, KPMG, Kolkata. The program evoked very good response and was rated as excellent by most of the participants.
